Administration & Dispatch Facility in Zillah

The new Administration and Dispatch Facility will house District Command Staff and Dispatch. Construction started in February of 2025 with a date of substantial completion in February of 2026. The facility is located on district property across the street from our Station 10 in Zillah.

The facility includes energy efficient lighting, heating and cooling systems as well as a larger conference room that can also be used as a secondary Emergency Operations Center if needed. Increased office space in this building also eliminates the need for staff to share offices. Also included is a large backup generator that will allow district operations to continue in the event of a power outage.

In the Dispatch portion of the facility, additional office space is included as well as room for two additional dispatch console positions over what the district operates today. This allows for additional dispatch capacity in the event of a large-scale emergency. Additional technological resources are planned such as a high speed fiber connection, inclusion of the facility into our mountain-top microwave network as well as satellite backup allowing for redundant connections to critical systems.
