Yakima County Fire District 5’s maintenance facility sits on .36 acres in Downtown Zillah. The 5400 square foot building allows the shop to perform repair and maintenance to the district’s fleet of almost 100 pieces of apparatus. These apparatus include command units, pumpers, tenders, grass units, rescue units, support units, utility vehicles, maintenance vehicles, dozers, transport semis, and trailers. The shop is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of the district’s 26 buildings.

Work performed in our maintenance facility includes pump repair and overhauls, preventive maintenance of apparatus in our fleet, vehicle and equipment inspections, and general repair of apparatus.
